−10 m · The wall

You know this feeling.

You did your course, hit 15–20 m, went home — and now nothing works.

Your ears stop cooperating at the same depth, every single dive.

You force it, turn early, and blame “a bad day.” It’s not a bad day.

YouTube videos all say “Frenzel” — none of them say what you’re doing wrong.

Equalization plateaus are almost never about your ears. They’re about technique, tension, and timing — and they’re fixable from your living room, before your next trip.

−20 m · The program

Four weeks to break through.

A structured progression — diagnose, rebuild, integrate, automate. Every step is built around your specific fault, not a generic drill list.

1WK 01
Diagnose

Find the fault

Video assessment + 1:1 call. We test your technique piece by piece and find what’s actually failing — and you learn the theory of why it fails at depth. No guessing, no generic advice.

2WK 02
Rebuild

Build the foundation

Isolated drills for your specific weakness — tongue, glottis, soft palate, breathing. Short daily sessions. You’re not “practicing equalization” yet; you’re rebuilding the parts it’s made of.

3WK 03
Integrate

Train with feedback

The pieces come together into full technique under realistic conditions. You film your drills, I correct you within 24 h, you adjust. This feedback loop is where the actual change happens.

4WK 04
Automate

Make it automatic

Pressure-test the new technique until it holds without thinking — plus a depth protocol for your next session and a final call so you know exactly what to do in the water.

Equalization is the wall I help students break more than any other — in the water, every week.

I’m a Molchanovs freediving instructor at Roatan Freediving School in the Caribbean. I left Switzerland to teach full-time. Remote coaching is the same process I use on the line, structured for where you are.

−35 m · Questions

Before you ask.

Who is this for?

Certified freedivers who have plateaued because of equalization — typically people who did a course, reached 15–20 m, and now hit the same wall every dive. If you’re not sure it fits, DM me and I’ll tell you honestly.

Do I need access to the ocean or a pool?

No. The drills in weeks 1–4 are dry: you do them at home, film them, and send them to me. The depth protocol in week 4 is for your next water session or dive trip.

What do I need to start?

A phone that can record video, a stable internet connection for our weekly calls, and around 15–20 minutes a day for short drill sessions.

How does feedback work?

You film your drills and send them over. I review and reply with corrections within 24 hours — as often as you need during the four weeks.

How do I sign up?

Send the word EQUALIZE to @doondimitro on Instagram. I’ll ask you three quick questions about your diving, and if the program is a good fit, we’ll set a start date.
